Dominic Johnson took care of our water heater pilot lighting and got it to work. He also explained to us what to do if the water heater burning did not shut down after running for 45 min. - just call PHS and ask for a plumber to address the issue.Luckily, everything runs normal and we got our hot water back.

I've been a Perfect Homes 'subscriber' (VIP program) for a couple of years.During the past three days, four professional experts helped me make the best decision about the future of my HVAC.First, Perfect's seasonal AC check-up professional educated me in detail about my old existing HVAC, why it was repeatedly failing, and what the options were for solving the problem. I really did need to replace the whole HVAC.Second, a Perfect Homes salesman took me through the options and helped me pick the system that was best for my home.Third, and finally, Perfect Homes sent a team of two installation experts who installed the whole apparatus in just a few hours. They, too, answered all my questions so that I now thoroughly understand what was involved and what to do in the future.Everything about all their work has exceeded my expectations. Most importantly for me was their ability and willingness to answer all my questions and thoroughly explain how the HVAC works and why each of their modifications was a necessary improvement. Of course, that also shows how well they know their work, which is equally important.I never expected to actually be happy about getting a whole new HVAC system installed! But I am!Thank you all for your great work and for sharing your knowledge. You improved my future and you are appreciated!

I have been using PHS for the last several years when my previous HVAC service owner sold their business. I immediately noticed a big difference in the professional work that PHS personnel exhibited in my semi annual maintenance. The in-depth use of taking pictures of the key components of the HVAC system made it a more productive review of potential failures and risk analysis.Recently there has been problems with the furnace due to a water leak from AC unit. This caused a crack in one of the burners. After reviewing the detailed pictures, I made the decision to replace the 11yr old Trane furnace with a new higher efficiency Carrier unit. The potential for carbon monoxide leak is not worth the risk to the family.Met with PHS estimator (Donny Stoneberg). We spent several hours going through best options of equipment that best suits my needs and is not over or under sized. Also went through the evaluation of using Aero Seal service to seal any leaks in the ducts. The house was built in 1967 and has a number of vents in the 2nd floor that have poor air flow.Once the decision was made to move forward, we were able to get installation scheduled within two days. PHS sent three technicians to the house and they promply arrived at 8am. The 3 men (Onon, Ted and Alex) briefed me on the details what was going to be done and the anticipated duration. Tarps were put down over carpeting. Materials were unloaded and transported to basement at a fast pace. The team of technicians kept me updated through the day on progress and worked at a fast pace but with focus on quality of construction.I was impressed with the attention to detail on the sheet metal work, piping, electrical and ductwork. Much higher professionalism than I have experienced with other companies in the past. Kudos to Olon, Ted and Alex on a job well done and in a timely manner. Completely satisfied.

Our furnace was making the dreaded duct bang whenever it would turn off after running a heat cycle. Our Perfect Home Services technician, Larry G., was quick to diagnose the cause of the problem and then subsequently resolve our issue. We ran through the heat cycle twice and the duct bang as the end of the cycle is gone. Thanks to Larry G., and Perfect Home Services.

Little did I know when the day started and my furnace kept turning on and shutting off and high tech thermostat blacked out that I would spend 6 hours with a hvac tech. The furnace- a top of the line Bryant should not be acting up- and especially on a day when fly granddaughter flying in the spend the weekend with her parents . Perfect home services got me an appointment at noon and the tech Richard got right on it- however the first 4-5 things tried did not eliminate the issue. The young age of the unit would not make one think a major component could fail. Richard made sure after each tweak and reset of therm and it took a few minutes after restarting for problem to occur. Finally through exhaustive testing it showed the blower motor was not holding charge correctly although it was operating- now to find a warehouse on Black Friday at 4:30 that would have one- after a few calls found one in Elgin. He drove there returned installed and all is now well. I tip my hat to him for sticking with this elusive issue- not giving up on finding part - I felt like he actually cared I needed heat tonight. Although no one wants a large bill unexpectedly especially in holiday season - along with the discounts I received for being ba VIP member. That saved me money- that I was treated so well and received real value. Richard is a gem of an employee to represent your business .

I have used Perfect Home Services several times in the past, and as always the work is well done, timely, and very professional. The kitchen sink clogged up on Thanksgiving day. My husband signed up for the service plan with Perfect Home Services several years ago. Not really knowing anything about the mechanics in the house, having someone come in twice a year to clean and check the HVAC systems is a godsend for me. Perfect Home Services replaced my furnace and hot water heater about 8 years ago. I have never had a problem with either, and the people they send out for seasonal checkouts have always been great as well. At the completion of the service, he went through everything that he did, including changing the air and humidifier filters, along with other observations and suggestions. I never feel pressured to do anything that is suggested, and he is always accommodating when I ask him to add notes to our file for future reference. Last month I had a terrible experience when one of two furnaces failed. Further I noticed my air conditioning over the summer was not running as efficiently as it had been over the past 16 years. Needless to say, realizing I may need to replace both systems after 16 years was not a pleasant experience.After researching HVAC companies, I contacted Perfect Home Services and was very pleased from the very beginning. Preliminary technician Eric came out to my house, scoped my furnaces, showed me the issues and where the two furnaces had failed over the past 16 years. He informed me of the options of replacing particular components of the furnace or the cost effectiveness of replacing the entire system. When I made the decision of replacing both HVAC units, Eric was very quick to set up an appointment and have both my furnace and air conditioners replaced within the week.On the day, the units were to be installed, five technicians came to my house, took out the old units and replaced them with the new HVAC system within an eight hour period. They worked quickly yet extremely efficiently. I was very pleased with the manner in which the crew took pride in their work and their neatness.I want to personally thank the following Perfect Home Services employees. From Eric who analyzed my old system and offered the best overall cost effective solution to my HVAC problem, Jackie the company dispatcher who keep me posted as to the date and time of day in which the crew was to arrive, and the crew of Perfect Home Services technicians namely Onon, Mike, ,Rene, Stephen, Kieth, and Ivan.I would highly recommend Perfect Home Services for your Heating and Air Conditioning needs. I can highly recommend this company and the way the furnace and air conditioning were installed. The installers were very good. Joe responded to a service call for a tankless water heater that wasn't heating properly. There were no error codes to help identify the problem, so this required a fair amount of investigation to pinpoint the problem. Joe was meticulous in doing a full diagnostic examination of the heater and was successful in getting it fully functional. Very personable and professional throughout the service call.

Not trustworthy. Perfect Home bought out my previous hvac company, so I paid them to come out to do a furnace inspection (we have 2). Turns out both furnaces had broken heat exchangers and were unsafe. Ok, furnaces are old, so I asked for them to give me a quote on new ones. Paid the technician, he told me the sales guy would be here later today.Sales guy comes, typical sales routine. Talks about his dogs, his baby, shows me baby video, buying his new home, remodeling his kitchen, real friendly guy. Lots of chuckling about dad jokes and compliments on my house. Goes into the basement, takes measurements, comes back to talk about my needs. Asks whether I want air duct cleaning, new air conditioner, new thermostats, all that. I told him to give me a quote for different options and I’ll take a look. Eventually he slides over an iPad with four different options, ranging from like 17k to 30k or something. The four different options had bullet points of info, but didn’t explain much. He said what do you think? I thanked him for putting this together and asked him to send me an email with the options to review. I asked about their schedule for install, and he said they could be here Monday (this was Friday.) I told him I’d let him know Monday afternoon, as I had another company coming out Monday to give me a quote. Well, his demeanor did a total 180. He looked at me, and asked why I felt the need to get another company’s estimate? Mind you, this was the first time I ever used this company, I had no trust or connection with them built up as a customer. I said well, obviously, this is a huge purchase, wouldn’t anyone get a second company to give their quote? He packed up his stuff and was out the door in less than 5 seconds after schmoozing me for more than an hour.Amazingly unprofessional and just sketchy. Had another, highly-recommended company come out and give me a straightforward quote for the two furnaces (including two new whole home humidifiers and two new thermostats) that came out to a few grand less than Perfect Home’s bare bones estimate.They never did email the quote. Run, far and fast from Perfect Home. They’re looking for people to scam.
