This company has gone downhill. Do not use them. I paid the extra money to become a VIP person and they blew me off twice. When I called in to see what the status of my appointment was, they kept telling me he was coming from 12 until 8:30 PM nobody showed upAnd then they try to give me a gift card for my inconvenience only good towards purchasing extra services!! If you wanna waste your time, sitting around waiting for technicians that don’t show up this is your company! Terrible communication and performance. There’s too many other competitors. Don’t waste your time.

We had a furnace installed in February of 2022. The initial quote was extremely high. The sales person was trying to get us to buy the Cadillac. We finally settled on a Chevy which was much more appropriate for this house. The install was fine but Perfect Home Services mechanics never, ever show up on time. They can tell you morning, but you better take the whole day off. And, if they say afternoon, you better plan on them being in your house until 7 or 8 in the evening. Perfect Home Service representatives are always Extremely courteous, but that is to diffuse conditions as they are always late. they can tell you they will be there at 8 am but never show up. Oh, you will get a call at some point, to let you know when they plan on arriving but they never arrive at that time, or within 15 minutes to a half hour of that time. They just don't care if you have work responsibilities. They will arrive when they want. Always late for general maintenance service, always late for whatever needs you have. I recommend sending them a bill for your time that they waste. Pathetic.

I am a VIP member of the Perfect Home Services program. This program charges a fixed monthly fee and then provides regular services for the major installed appliances: furnace, air conditioner, water heater...all good. Just had the furnace reviewed and will be doing the a/c tune up soon. Again, all services delivered as promised. And, the VIP bonus is that I am entitled to other benefits that resulted in a simple answer to an electrical question yesterday. WoW! Why don't other businesses do this plan ... guess it is because they are not "Perfect"

Replaced water heater that was installed in May of 2022. Either anode rod and / or thermostat failed meaning that within about 30 min water exiting hot faucet was luke warm.Repair for both would be around $1,500. Replacing water heater would be around $1,600. Benefit of replacing was that warranty would be reset to zeroInstalled without problems and back to having hot water later in day.Typical spring remove cover from outside unit. Shown photo of inside of outside unit with capacitor that was leaking and had corroded wires, required replacing.A/C ready for summer cooling with minor hiccup. Was cheaper than replacing entire system.Temperature in house, 64, meant go from cooling to heating. Thermostat that was slightly more than 1 yr old would not activate.Keith came by and it did the same for him. He then got a replacement unit and after it activated was in working order. House is now at comfortable temp and coats can be set aside.Keith indicated to watch it for a few days and if not working at time of scheduled maintenance visit, he will take care of it.Fall tune-,upMike began by inquiring how system was running, was zI experiencing any problems, informed him of recent thermostat failure, and any concerns.He then went to work on system and only time I saw him was when he reset the temperature. Next time I saw hi was when job was finished. He put cover on AC Units then wrote hi is report.He returned with stack of photos and recommendations. A thorough job and helpful recommendations.oPersons inspecting my solar installation noted smell of gas in basement. Nicor tech identified 3 places at water and one in dryer supply where leaks occurring.PHS tech replaced shut off in gas line to dryer as original was in place since 1980!PHS tech replaced T-fitting, elbow and union in line supplying water heater.PHS tech also recommended replacing pump tank adjunct to laundry sink because pump has twisted and jammed float switch causing pump to run constantlyDeferred later repair owing to timing and cost issues.Water heater had been installed in May of 2022 and apparently the connections were not adequately tightened. Bummer, because these leaks could have led to more serious problem,

Update: 28 April 2025Theo V. Came by for an annual clean/check service on our HVAC’s. Theo was great to chat with and he interrupted our 90’s NBA nostalgia with educational bits to help me understand what’s happening with our AC units outside and what I can expect from them going forward. I’d be happy to have Theo install and service our HVAC anytime. Plus he’s great to chat with.Update: 28 February 2025Brian McGinnis visited us again today to investigate a possible issue with our tankless water heaters. Just like last time, Brian spent time first listening to me explain the history of the issue and steps taken to remedy so far. He then proceeded to explain the possible reasons some of these things may happen and how to address them if they do. Parts are on order, and I’ll only ask for a visit from Brian to install them, given his knowledge and experience with Navien tankless water heaters. On the plumbing side of Perfect Home Services, Brian is top class and very very helpful. Thank you, Brian!Update 10 Jan 2024:As per usual, Perfect Home Services sent someone to help me investigate a gas smell in the utility room of our house. Brian arrived on time, investigated, and provided me with the reasons for the smell and a solution to prevent it going forward. Still always 5 stars. Thank you Perfect Home Services!Update 18 Sep 2023:I recently asked Perfect Home Services to install two tankless water heaters in our home. They sent two seasoned professionals who worked well together, answered all my questions about plumbing (related and unrelated to water heater installation, and laughed at my dumb jokes as well. We have been using Perfect Home Services consistently since 2011 across three different homes and I intend to continue to do so.Perfect Home Services installed and has been servicing our furnace/AC/humidifier for the past 7 years without a single incident. They always arrive when they say they will, do the work they say they will, and the bill is never a surprise. They’ve always been a pleasure to do business with.

Unethical!!! They came to do maintance. My units were not giving me any issues. They said I had holes on my furnace, they shut my gas off -I was 5 days without a heater. They send someone to "repair" the issue and it turns out that it was a sales man that said we needed 11k to replace both my ac unit and the furnace. Mind you I HAD NO ISSUE WITH EITHER. It took 6 days to get a 2nd opinion, two separate technicians from another company came and both said that there was nothing wrong with my furnace. Please be careful, if I wouldn't of gotten a 2nd option, I would of been out of 11k for no reason. So Unethical and scammers. They partner with ABC heating and cooling.Read the one star reviews- I'm not the first. I read some experiences similar to mine.

I have been using Perfect Home Services for AC, electrical, and plumbing for about a year now. I am completely impressed with their teams' professional, courteous, and highly communicative approach. I am not a technician in any of those specialties and they are able to explain things to me to make sure I get it and am making informed decisions about the issues and solutions that go into my house. They are not the cheapest option by far (hence, why I didn't do 5 stars and 4.5 isn't an option), but I feel more comfortable paying a little extra to make sure I don't feel taken advantage of.

Once again Perfect Home Services comes through for us. We had a furnace and A/C condenser from 1987. I’m sure it was a SEER 2. They responded the day we called. Sent a service tech. He condemned the unit due to a lack of replacement parts. He even called Carrier’s Melrose Park branch and they told him the part was not available. The sales rep Chelses was polite and very professional. The technicians Gus, Jacob and Marcos were professional and polite. They picked up everything after they were done. Well done guys! My tech Corey was excellent but the rest of the organization is a problem.First, they've gone to a "flex scheduling" system which means that you never really know when your tech is going to show up.Second, the tech was supposed to show up Saturday at 9am to finish the repair on our air conditioner. He hasn't arrived by 10am and I call customer support. I'm told that he had been rescheduled by dispatch to another job. He should be at my place by 1 or 2pm. I complain about not being informed of the change. 3pm rolls around, I call again. I'm informed that the tech had been cancelled and that he had been rescheduled for Monday without any communication. I'm furious. Since no one would be home on Monday, we rescheduled for Thursday. If I hadn't called, would the tech have just shown up to an empty house. None of this is Corey's fault. He is a great guy and great at his job.Third, I've been a VIP member for many years. That means I pay in advance for routine HVAC checkups and Perfect will call me to schedule these checkups. I don't need to remember to do it myself and it been working well. Now as a VIP, I get "free" plumbing and electrical "checkups". This just gives Perfect an opportunity to come into my home and try to intimidate me into spending $1000's to correct the horrifying conditions they will find. No thank you. Been down this road with them before. But as a VIP member that keep calling me at all hours to schedule these checkups. I've told them repeatedly to stop calling and take me off their list. They keep calling. After being a loyal customer for 14 years, all this is adding up to me firing them and finding a different company to handle my HVAC needs.
